2017 David’s Heritage Red
dry creek valley
David’s Heritage represents a blend of 55% Petite Sirah, 35% Syrah, and 10% Grenache grapes that are sourced completely from vineyards in Dry Creek Valley. The Syrah and Grenache come from Saini vineyards on the east bench land. The old vine Grenache was originally planted in 1942. The Petite Sirah is sourced from Perotti vineyards on in the northwest corner of the valley.

Tasting Notes
This wine bursts from the glass with juicy black fruit, plum and black cherry, and intriguing hints of tobacco leaf and pine aromas. The structure from the Petite Sirah is lifted by the red fruit and spice components from the Grenache and Syrah, respectively, and the underlying oak backbone tempers the acidity for a robust red blend.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair with braised short ribs, Osso Buco, oxtail papardelle, grilled sausages, and aged crumbly blue cheese or hard cheddar.
